The Academy of Guru Granth Studies is a non-profit corporation to promote scholarly endeavors to disseminate the religion contained in the Sri Guru Granth Sahib. Volunteer scholars and organizations are recruited from all over the world to undertake scholarly projects of research, education, and publications. Presently, the Academy has undertaken to establish a research library, to promote preparation of databases of Sikh Scriptures, to hold Sukhmani Retreats and Naam Simran Workshops, to publish books on Guru Granth Sahib , to distribute manuscripts on Gurbani topics to periodicals, and to publish a quarterly journal, The Guru Granth Prakash . Establishment of an International University on the concept of "distant education" is a distant goal.
